Hi, I’m Michelle I come from Sydney and have lived on the Sunshine Coast for 4 years. I am the resident skin specialist at Vie Institute and I am also a licensed laser hair removal therapist . I have worked at Vie for nearly 2 years and in that time have helped a lot of sun damaged people to reverse the visible signs of excessive sun exposure and the ageing process in general. I am also responsible for removing a hell of a lot of hair from both Sunshine Coast men and women!

My background is beauty – I have been a beauty therapist for over 22 years and owned and ran a very large beauty and hair salon in Cronulla, Sydney for over 10years. I sold my salon to have more time to spend with my family, but have continued to work part time in the beauty industry.

As my family is growing up and I have time to put back into a career, I decided that I wanted to learn more and move ahead. I decided I wanted a career in the Cosmetic Surgery/ Cosmetic Medicine field.
I worked for a time in Sydney with a surgeon until I travelled around Australia with my family and ended up on the Sunshine Coast and here I am at Vie Institute.

The thing I love most about my job is the difference I can make in my clients lives! – the improvement that they experience and how that then effects how they feel about themselves and their life in general!
I am very passionate about treating acne as I had very serve acne for a long time and know how much that effected my life. It is so rewarding when you change someone’s skin from problematic to normal! That has an enormous impact on their confidence levels and then, in turn their life. That is why I love what I do.
I also find it very rewarding when treating women with polycystic ovary syndrome( pco), a condition that causes women to have male hair growth patterns and often have to shave every day. To see them at the end of their treatments, where are hair free and no longer have to worry about shaving, they feel normal and feel they can go out without people looking at the hair on their face. That’s just the best feeling, helping someone like that.
