Michelle Young RN

Like Jan, Michelle has many years experience in peri-operative nursing. Michelle also worked at Buderim Private Hospital for 20 years! For five years of that time Michelle was the Unit Manager for the surgical ward where all of Dr McGovern’s surgical patients recovered. Following this she was Nurse Manage of the hospital ensuring quality control of staff and procedures. Michelle has been overseeing the care of Dr McGovern’s surgical patients for more than 9 years in the hospital setting. Any questions you may have a about surgical procedures and your peri-operative care Michelle can answer.

After much coaxing Michelle finally joined our practice in January 2002 . Many people tell us that we have been very lucky to have Buderim Hospitals very best nurses now working in our practice- however, this was no accident!

With her past experience at caring for Dr McGovern’s many surgical patients, Michelle was the obvious choice for someone to discuss cosmetic surgical procedures with interested clients. If you are interested in any cosmetic procedure, Michelle will take you through an educational presentation which explains the procedure in detail. These consultations are free of charge and no obligation, you will not find more information anywhere! Michelle can also help with all your non-surgical enquiries, and is entirely familiar with all dermal fillers and muscle relaxants.

Michelle also holds a license with the Radiation Safety Act, qualifying her to use all form of lasers. Michelle’s passion is for reversing sun damage. If you suffer with sun damaged skin (heavy, thick, lined, open pores, uneven skin tone, pigmented spots), call to make an appointment to see Michelle. She can give you advise on medical grade skin care to help reverse this damage as well as computerized pulse light therapy treatments.

Michelle is fully trained and qualified in the use of wrinkle injections, however government regulations prevent us from using the names of these products and therefore our hard earned titles!
